BALANCED
DOG TRAINING 

Balanced Dog Training is a structed approach that reinforces desired behaviors with rewards while correcting unwanted behaviors to create a well-mannered, confident and obedient dog. We focus on clear communication, consistency and fairness to ensure the dog understands the expectations. We address the following areas.

1. Basic Obedience

  • Teaching fundamental commands: sit, down, come, heel, place and leave it. 

  • Leash manners (walking politely without pulling) 

  • Off-leash heel and recall 

  • Increase focus and engagement with the handler 

2. Behavior Modification

  • Jumping up, nipping and mouthing - Teaching calm greetings and appropriate play behavior 

  • Reactivity (dogs, people or environments). Using desensitization, impulse control and proper corrections).

  • Separation anxiety - Building confidence and independence with crate training and structured routines 

3. Impulse Control & Boundaries 

  • Teaching patience (waiting at doors, around food, or when excited) 

  • "Place" command to create a calm mindset. 

  • Reinforcing calm behavior in high distracted environments 

  • Teaching neutrality around other dogs, people and stimuli 

4. Socialization 

  • Exposing the dog to new environments, people, noises and animals in a controlled way to improve their confidence and prevent fear. 

5. Problem Prevention and Leadership Building 

  • Establishing clear rules and structure at home

  • Teaching the owner proper handling, timing and communication 

  • Preventing future behavioral issues by reinforcing desired behaviors early 

  • Using fair corrections to stop habits before they escalate

Our Training Approach 

Positive Reinforcement 

Building a foundation with positive reinforcement. We use treats, toys and praise to teach and strengthen the desirable behaviors. Focus on clear communication to create a strong bond. 

Corrective Training 

Corrective Training involves redirecting or interrupting the unwanted behaviors to guide your dog to the appropriate actions. It's not about the punishment but about communication and boundaries. 

Socialization

Exposing your dog to different environments, people and other animals to help them  build confidence and good manners. 

Enrichment 

Enrichment is crucial for happy, well-balanced dog and helps prevent behavioral issues caused boredom, frustration and excess energy. A well-enriched dog is more trainable, less destructive and mentally fufilled 

Education 

Understanding a dog's breed traits, instincts and natural behaviors, and natural behaviors is essential for effective training. Each breed was developed for specific tasks, which influence their energy levels, intelligence, temperament and behavioral tendencies. 

OUR TRAINING OPTIONS

Board and Train 
$70 a day 

Our Board and Train option is great for owners who want to drop their dog off while they are on vacation or maybe a busy lifestyle and return to a fully trained obedient dog.

1. Initial Consultation: We begin with consulting your dogs specific needs, goals, and behavioral issues. 

2. Personalized Training Plan: We will design you a training plan customized to your dog, focusing on their individual strengths and areas for improvement.  We will also provide you with a brief history of your dogs breed including breed traits, instincts and natural behaviors. to ensure your dog is being properly stimulated. Training without considering the breed-specific traits can lead to frustration for both the owner and the dog. 

3. Immersive Training Experience:  Your dog will stay with us for the agreed upon duration (2-4 weeks). During this time, they will receive intense training and enrichment in a structured environment. 

4. Owner Training Session: At the end of the program, you will receive a private training session to learn how to reinforce the skills your dog learned. In addition you will also receive personalized videos of us training your dog so you can back and reference these anytime. Its not just about training your dog, but you as well. 

5. Ongoing Support:  After the program, we offer follow up sessions and continued support to ensure long-term success.

​Initial consultations are free however we do have a 14 day minimum for all new clients to ensure you and your dog receives the complete training experience.

Private Sessions 
$100 an hour 

Our Private Sessions are for owners looking for effective and practical training with our professional guidance. We offer personalized, one-on-one training sessions designed to build a well-behaved, confident, and obedient dog. Using a balanced approach that incorporates positive reinforcement along with clear boundaries and corrections. These private classes are great for owners who want to take more initiative in training the dogs themself.

1. Step 1: Initial Consultation

  • Discuss your dog's behavior, training goals and any specific concerns. 

  • Evaluate your dog's temperament, obedience level and environment.

2. Training Sessions & Implementation

  • Obedience Training (Teaching essential commands like sit, recall, heel and place. 

  • Behavioral Modification (Addressing any unwanted behaviors like jumping, eating off counters, etc. ) 

  • Impulse Control & Boundaries 

  • Enrichment and Engagement (providing mental engagement and physical stimulation) 

3. Real-Life Application & Problem solving 

  • First Training session will be at our facility 

  • When you dog is ready we will train in a designated training space such as the dog park or your home to address specific challenges.

4. Owner Education & Hands-On Practice 

  • A personalized Training Plan with the tools to take home with you including education of your dogs breed traits, instincts and natural behaviors.

Initial consultations are free however we do have a 2 session minimum to ensure you and your take dog take the most out of our sessions.
